Sr.Manager/Manager-Production (Forming)

Responsibilities

• Production Management

  • Develop and implement production schedules to achieve optimal efficiency.

  • Ensure alignment of production activities with quality standards and company goals.

• Forming Machine Operations

  • Oversee forming machine operations and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.

  • Monitor and adjust gob feeding machine setup and performance.

• Quality Control

  • Conduct visual inspections and use measurement tools like scales and gauges.

  • Analyze product defects, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.

• Maintenance Supervision

  • Supervise and monitor maintenance activities for forming machines and production equipment.

  • Ensure execution of preventive and routine maintenance schedules.

• Process Optimization

  • Monitor forehearth temperature and furnace parameters for efficiency.

  • Adjust PLC parameters for press, robotic take-out, fire polishing, and annealing lehr.

• Resource Management

  • Monitor spare parts inventory and submit requisition requests when needed.

  • Organize repair and maintenance of production equipment.

• Cost Control & Reporting

  • Develop strategies to reduce production costs while maintaining product quality.

  • Prepare periodic production reports for management review.

• Team Leadership & Development

  • Supervise worker performance and provide constructive feedback.

  • Arrange training programs to enhance team skills.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.

• Health & Safety Compliance

• Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  Experience:

  • 7–10 years of experience in forming production, preferably in glassware manufacturing.

  • Expertise in float glass tempering, glassware forming, and mechanical maintenance.
